Jenny Lind beds were popular in the Victorian era and continue to be a well loved style to date. This style of bed was named after the 1800’s Swedish opera singer, Jenny Lind.
This bed was extended at one point (probably around the 30’s/40’s) to receive a larger mattress which today is referred to as a 3/4 mattress or RV mattress. Reinforcing brackets were added as well.
*Also selling a spindle styled antique washstand with one drawer (pictures included). The washstand held a water pitcher and bowl on top, towels on either side and a chamber pot on the bottom shelf. $295
